    Job Title: Internal Communications & ESG Executive 

    Direct Reports: None

    Location: London / Hybrid

    Job Purpose:

    As Internal Communications Executive, you will play a key role in delivering effective internal communications that keep colleagues informed, engaged and connected to the organisation's strategy, priorities and culture.

    You will deliver proactive internal communications activity across multiple channels, supporting organisational change, strengthening leadership visibility and ensuring colleagues understand key business initiatives, priorities and the organisation's ESG proposition.

    Working closely with senior leaders, managers and key stakeholders, you will create clear, engaging and timely communications that support an informed, connected and engaged workforce.

    Key areas of responsibility

    • Deliver a company-wide internal communications plan and annual communications calendar aligned to organisational priorities, business objectives and change programmes.
    • Create and deliver high-quality internal communications content across a range of channels, including leadership communications, intranet content, colleague briefings, newsletters and all-colleague communications.
    • Manage and continuously improve the company's internal communications platform, The Loop, ensuring content is relevant, accessible, engaging and aligned with agreed governance standards.
    • Develop targeted communications plans for different colleague audiences, ensuring messaging is appropriate, timely and relevant.
    • Partner with senior leaders and managers to strengthen engagement, providing communications advice, messaging and supporting materials where required.
    • Develop communications toolkits and resources to support managers in effectively communicating key messages to their teams.
    • Support communications planning and delivery for major organisational initiatives and change programmes, ensuring colleagues understand what is changing, why it is changing and what it means for them.
    • Support the communication of the organisation's ESG proposition and wider strategic priorities.
    • Monitor engagement and feedback across internal communications channels and use data and insight to continuously improve communications effectiveness.
    • Build strong relationships across the business to identify communications requirements and ensure a consistent approach to internal messaging. Partner with senior leaders and managers to strengthen leadership visibility, develop communications toolkits and support effective management communications.

      Key Accountabilities:

    • Own and manage the day-to-day content and communications activity across The Loop.
    • Maintain and manage a forward communications calendar covering company-wide and targeted communications.
    • Ensure key business initiatives, priorities and changes are communicated clearly and effectively to colleagues.
    • Develop engaging and accessible content appropriate to different colleague audiences and communication channels.
    • Provide communications support and advice to senior leaders and managers.
    • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of internal communications and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

      Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

    • Employee engagement with internal communications.
    • Awareness and understanding of key business priorities and initiatives.
    • Engagement with The Loop and other internal communication channels.
    • Colleague feedback and sentiment.
    • Reach and engagement of key communications campaigns.
    • Effectiveness of communications supporting organisational change.

      Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

    • Experience in an internal communications, employee communications or similar role.
    • Proven experience creating engaging content for a range of audiences and communication channels.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences.
    • Experience managing digital communications channels, ideally including an intranet or employee communications platform.
    • Experience supporting organisational change and communicating complex information clearly and effectively.
    • Experience of supporting ESG within an organisation
    • Confidence working with and advising senior stakeholders and influencing at all levels of an organisation.
    • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple communications priorities and deadlines.
    • Ability to use data, insight and feedback to evaluate communications effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Strong understanding of employee engagement and the role effective communication plays in creating an informed and connected workforce.
